My husband, Richard, and I got our first Labrador Retriever together back in 1992 when we were asked to look after a yellow male, Monty, for a family member who had bitches in season. He never went home again and became a firm fixture in our household, Richard started working Monty in retrieving trials and we were hooked. We got another girl for retrieving and started breeding a couple of years later. In 1998 I got my first show puppy, a beautiful black girl Ch. Blackboy Etched in Ebony from my friend and mentor, Glenice McClure of Blackboy Kennels. www.blackboykennels.com.au

We haven't looked back since, and after 14 years on a kennel property in Southern River, we have now moved to a smaller property but still with our dogs in Beckenham, Western Australia.
